Necessary Items for overnight stays:
__ sleeping bag or sheets & blankets
__ pillow
__ 3-4 pairs of long pants
__ T-shirts and long sleeve shirts
__ sweaters and/or sweatshirts
__ several pairs of underwear
__ thermal underwear &/or sweat pants
__ 8 pairs of socks
__ sturdy shoes or boots for hiking
__ sneakers
__ slippers to wear in dorm
__ jacket (warm & windproof)
__ hat with brim (baseball, etc.)
__ trash bags and laundry bags for wet & dirty clothes
__ 2 towels
__ tooth brush & toothpaste
__ soap & shampoo
__ chapstick, hair brush or comb
__ sunglasses
__ books for free time reading
__ letter writing material— pen, paper, stamps and envelopes
You Must Bring:
__ sun block (at least SPF 15)
__ water bottle or canteen
__ waterproof poncho or raincoat
Seasonal:
__ mosquito repellent (cream or stick only, no aerosol cans, please)
__ shorts (not for lessons but for free time and recreation)
__ gloves for cold weather
__ warm winter hat
Optional:
__ recreational equipment (ball & gloves, frisbee, etc.)
__ a camera with several rolls of film or a disposable camera, clearly labeled with student’s name
__ playing cards and board games for rainy day activities
__ binoculars
Please, Do Not Bring:
__ alarm clock
__ anything electronic (no Cell Phones, nintendo gameboys, walkmans, TV’s, radios, etc.)
__ flashlights
__ No food, sodas, candy or gum
__ jewelry or other expensive items
__ knives
