Eco Appetito raises $4,000 for Eclogy School's Food For Thought program.

Huge thanks to Cinque Terre and everyone who attended the 2nd Annual Eco Appetito on March 8th.
More than 100 FBES friends and supporters enjoyed a festive afternoon at Cinque Terre on Wharf Street in Portland on Sunday March 8th! The 2nd Annual Eco Appetito was a chance for folks to mingle, learn about the Eoclogy School and enjoy fresh and local fare cooked up by Chef Lee Skawinski and his staff. Supporters of the event such as John and Ryan from Winter Point Oysters shucked up oysters for the crowd, while Leslie Oster of Aurora Provisions and Slow Food Portland poured local wines at the bar. Ralph and Lisa Turner of Laughing Stock Farm joined the fun and got to sample some of their own vegetables which they donated to the event. Sarah Goodhue and her fabulous Starbucks volunteers, served up french press coffee. The FBES staff entertained with an educational skit and there were awesome prizes and auction items again this year.

See for yourself! Check out photos from this year’s event.

Avery Kamila of Maine Today and Maine Switch blogged about the experience on her Portland in a Snap and WCSH Channel 6 aired a segment on the 6pm and 11 pm newscast. Fausto and Rueben from Blue Elephant Cafe in Saco blogged about their experience too!
